Flow state – an optimal state of consciousness where we feel and perform our best, aka “in the zone”.
Flow happens when your skill level and the difficulty level of the task are balanced. Like pushing just outside your comfort zone.
Side effects include:

+ losing track of time
+ research shows people who experience flow state report higher levels of productivity, creativity, and happiness for up to 3 days afterward (Harvard study)
